Hey friend! đ Letâs get real for a second. Who doesnât love âsweater weatherâ? Cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice, and those crisp fall mornings are all the vibe! But Iâm here to let you in on a little secret: Fall isnât just for bundling upâitâs the perfect time to sweat it out! đŠ Thatâs right, sweater weather is actually sweat-er weather in my book, and Iâm about to tell you why.
Why Fall is the Perfect Season to Jump into a New Routine
A year ago, if youâd asked me if I loved the gym, I wouldâve laughed and shown you to the door! The gym and I? We just werenât a match. I always knew movement was important, but nothing really stuck until I switched things up and got myself a trainer for some good olâ accountability. Shout out to my girl Sydni Lehr - best trainer ever! Now, Iâm doing 2-3 strength training workouts a week and sprinkling in a relaxing yoga session whenever I can fit it in. And let me tell youâit has been life-changing. đ
Embracing Fitness in the Fall đ
So, whatâs so special about fall? For one, we get a fresh start without the intense New Yearâs pressure, and itâs a great time to set up some habits before the holidays. I find that fall also gives us cooler weather, which means no more excuse of âitâs too hot to work outââam I right?
Hereâs how I went from gym-averse to actually enjoying my routine (and trust me, if I can, anyone can):
1. Start Small and Simple đȘ
When I first began, it was one 30-minute session per week. Thatâs it. Small, manageable, and not too overwhelming. And you know what? It worked! I started feeling stronger and, most importantly, confident that I could actually make this a habit.
2. Find Workouts that Feel Good for You đI love adding a relaxing 60-minute yoga class to unwind. Yoga helps me destress, which has been huge for my mental wellness and for balancing my hormones.
Making Fall Fitness Part of Your Wellness Routine
I get itâthe thought of working out can feel exhausting before you even start. But hereâs the trick: focus on how good youâll feel after each session. Plus, staying active doesnât have to be hardcore; the idea is just to keep moving. Walking, stretching, a little strength trainingâit all counts. And honestly, having my routine is something I look forward to now because I know itâs keeping me grounded and helping me feel my best. I may not 'feel like' going, but I'm always glad I did when I'm done!
The Mind-Body Benefits of Working Out đ§
The biggest surprise for me was just how much these workouts help balance stress and boost my mood. Movement isnât just about the physical gains; itâs about the mental boost, too. When life gets a little crazy (and doesnât it always?), thereâs nothing like a good sweat session to clear my head.
So, Whatâs Next?
If youâre ready to embrace âsweat-er weather,â start small and take it one step at a time. Remember, this isnât about transforming overnight; itâs about finding little ways to keep your body moving and your mind sharp. And hey, who knows? Maybe next year, youâll be the one sharing how fall fitness transformed your routine, too.
Letâs make this fall about more than just cozy sweaters and pumpkin spiceâletâs make it about feeling good inside and out! đđȘ Ready to dive in? Find a local gym or trainer who supports 30 minute workouts. Another option is to find a trainer online! I love Pure Physique! C'mon! Letâs do it together!
